Porsche 991 Carrera 4S ‘5M Porsche Fans’ – 1 of 1 Personally Built by 5 Million Porsche Fans

In 2013 Porsche unveiled a special edition 911 dedicated to its Facebook fans; the third bespoke build to thank the company’s loyal social media users which at the time reached 5 million. This one-off 911 was based on a 991 Carrera 4S, however the specification was chosen by Porsche fans through an online poll and competition, with the chance to drive the car at Silverstone.

The car was finished in PTS Aqua Blue Metallic with white Carrera S wheels (Facebook colours) and would be one of the highest specified and most unique 911s ever built. Options included the Powerkit (30bhp increase), Aero Kit Cup, Burmester surround sound, Sports Chrono package and Sports exhaust to name but a few. However, the 911 5M was also graced with some truly unique touches, which included bespoke decals, bespoke cupholder cover and bespoke interior sills with blue illumination; the first time this was seen on a 911.

Unlike previous unique builds from Porsche that were retained by the factory, the 911 5M was initially displayed at the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, before joining the Porsche Silverstone Experience Centre fleet of vehicles. Here the car was enjoyed by Porsche owners for a period before being sold to a private collector who stored the vehicle for several years. Following this, the 911 5M was sold to a further UK Porsche collector, who has owned the car ever since.
