Lovely drive down to @pandawooduk this morning in a couple of the #WolfHubCollection ... couldn’t choose between them though!
Our Testarossa came out for a spin today - an early ‘Monospecchio’ car, but with a 2nd (and useless) mirror added for improved symmetry. They certainly don’t make them like they used to! #WolfHubCollection #WolfHubCars #TheWolfHub #ForzaFerrari

(3/3) The #WolfHubDatabase also has vast data on LHD Speciale and Speciale Apertas in both the European, UK and American market. Although trends are similar to what we have seen for RHD cars in the UK market, there are some notable differences in terms of mileage sensitivity and comparative values when currency rate fluctuations are also taken into consideration. For further information and insight to these trends, just drop me a DM or email and I can expand further.

(1/3) Ferrari 458 Speciale & Speciale Aperta ‘Model Insight’ – A Ferrari 458 Speciale has been part of the #WolfHubCollection since 2015 when we purchased a new LHD example from continental Europe. Although it has only covered 3,000 miles in that time, the Speciale will remain in the collection indefinitely, with it representing one of the finest mid-engine Ferraris ever produced; the pinnacle of natural aspiration in a package that can be enjoyed equally on road or at the track.
There are currently almost 200 data points on Ferrari 458 Speciale and Speciale Aperta in the #WolfHubDatabase across the retail and auction market from the last four years. This provides a useful base to analyse a number of factors and trends in the Speciale market for both the dealer network and auction world. Most notably, this amount of data can be used to note price fluctuations in that time period, sale rate at auction, the amount of time for examples to sell in the retail market, the importance of specification when it comes to retail asking prices and sale rate, the price range in the market and the differences or similarities in recent market trends between the Speciale and Speciale Aperta. The below gives a very brief and general commentary on some of the information in the #WolfHubDatabase, but do get in contact if you would like to enquire further.
Looking at the Speciale and focussing mainly on the UK retail market, the latest data suggests that asking prices for RHD examples ranges from £260-325k although the majority of examples tend to be priced in the £275-300k bracket. Looking at data points from 18-24 months ago, these latest values are generally around £25-50k down on that period. Although this is a noticeable drop, it should be noted that cars are now running out of warranty and have in many cases covered slightly higher mileage than the majority of examples that were for sale in 2017/18. Compared to many other models in a similar sector of the market (Mclaren 675 LT and Ferrari F12 tdf for example) the 458 Speciale has maintained a relatively consistent and strong market value in recent times, with values now falling in-line with the 488 Pista.
With the UK and rest of the world in a necessary lock down in the battle against Coronavirus, it is time to update, enhance and analyse the #WolfHubDatabase . Over the coming weeks, I will analyse the 1000’s of data points that have been collated over several years and take a look at some market trends on cars initially in the #WolfHubCollection and other notable models in the market. It is time for the Collector Car world and most other industries to take a bit of a step back, but once we get through this (and we will) the market will be as active as ever with people wanting to invest money either into a physical asset or simply buy that dream car that they have always wanted. Regardless, it is important to know what you are buying, know about what has been going on in the market for the past few years and more importantly be confident that any future purchase is in-line with market values. Hit the link in bio and head to the website to learn a bit more about Wolf Hub and do get in touch if you wanted enquire about any information help in the #WolfHubDatabase or any other Collector Car market consultation.
