Omega x Swatch Moonswatch ‘Mission to Mars’

The Moonswatch collaboration between Omega and Swatch was by far the biggest watch story of 2022 and they remain some of the most desirable pieces in the market today. These playful tributes to the Speedmaster utilise Swatch’s Bioceramic material to create eleven unique and special pieces that each represent the nine planets, the moon and the sun.

All pieces benefit from the same dimensions as the iconic Speedmaster and details such as the ‘dot over ninety’ on the tachymeter scale and the distinctive subdials in a variety of colour combinations for the dials and straps. Further, the caseback on each watch is printed with the mission text and battery covers which depict the relevant ‘mission.’

This ‘Mission to Mars’ (Ref. SO33R100) was purchased new from the Oxford Street Swatch store in March 2023 and has only been removed from the box for the purposes of these images and remains unworn with crystal sticker in place. It is one of the most recognisable and desirable of the missions, especially for Speedmaster collectors. Not only is the red Bioceramic case potentially the most striking of all the planets, but the hands on the subdials are a homage to the iconic Speedmaster ‘Alaska Project.’ The piece is complete with the Moonswatch box, purchase receipt, brochure and warranty paperwork and Swatch store bag.
