Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch CK2998 Limited Edition

The Speedmaster ‘CK2998’ Limited Edition (Ref 311.33.40.30.02.001) was released by Omega as a homage to the original CK2998 from 1959 with many key features being retained. The key feature is the steel case with 39.7mm diameter and straight lug design without pusher guards creating that iconic vintage Speedmaster profile. This is further enhanced with the use of rhodium-plated ‘Alpha’ hour and minute hands with a lollipop-shaped second hand with rhodium-plated indexes.

Just 2,998 individually numbered examples of this Speedmaster were created; a model that is instantly recognisable due to the striking Opaline silvery dial with contrasting blue subdials and polished blue ceramic bezel ring. Powered by the iconic Omega Calibre 1861, the piece enjoys 48 hours power reserve and is finished with a blue leather strap with contrast stitching and a limited-edition case-back.

This example was supplied new by Harrods, London in December 2016 and has been enjoyed by just one keeper from new. It has been lightly worn and shows some minor wear-related marks, but as can be seen in the images it presents in very good condition in all regards. The piece has been inspected by Omega, Regent St. in January 2023 to check tolerances and confirm that it remains in good working order.
