Omega Speedmaster Apollo 17 45th Anniversary

This extremely special limited edition Speedmaster was released by Omega to celebrate both the 45th anniversary of Apollo XVII and more specifically as a tribute to Gene Cernan, the last man on the moon who passed away in 2017. Ref. 31130423003001.

The 42mm stainless steel case with matching bracelet is graced with a stunning blue dial that is complemented by gold detailing on the hands and bezel. Further features to this beautiful limited edition piece include the God Apollo at the 9 o’clock subdial and ’05:34 GMT in red in the centre of the dial that indicated the time that Cernan made the final step on the moon.

The caseback is equally as special with the Apollo XVII mission patch dominating this space with detailing that denotes the 45th anniversary of this voyage. Just 1,972 of these incredibly special watches were ever produced, with each being individually numbered also on the caseback.

This example is completely unworn with full stickers in place and has only been removed from the Omega travel packaging for the purposes of imagery; the perfect example for the most discerning of collectors.
