Omega Speedmaster 50th Anniversary ‘Patch’ Limited Series

In 2007, Omega celebrated the 50th anniversary of the iconic Speedmaster with the release of a few highly limited watches to acknowledge the special birthday. One of these pieces was the Speedmaster 50th Anniversary Limited Series, which was affectionately dubbed the ‘Patch’ watch; reference 311.30.42.30.01.001.

This Speedmaster Moonwatch uses the iconic 1861 Calibre hand-wound movement, but in this instance the 42mm steel case is mated to a sapphire crystal. For the 50th anniversary ‘Patch’ watch, the iconic Seahorse is printed on the dial at 12 o’clock and the Omega logo is finished in a distinctive red shade. Further, the pieces were individually numbered on the case-back and limited-edition certificate, with just 5,957 examples made.

This example was supplied new to the UK market in July 2007 – confirmed by its Omega Extract from the Archives – and has been owned by the same diligent collector from new. Since purchasing the piece directly from this collector, we have returned the piece to Omega who conducted a full service, returning the watch on 29/11/2022 and complete with 24-month Omega warranty.

Further, the original box is still with the watch, although this has suffered with the internal deterioration that plagued many Omega boxes of the period, hence the piece is photographed in the Omega service box that also accompanies it. In addition, this 50th Patch is supplied with an Omega extract from the archives, Omega store bag, Omega card wallet, Watch Register certificate, Omega service paperwork, Omega outer box and Omega operating instructions.
