Omega 1957 60th Anniversary Trilogy Set Limited Edition

In 1957 Omega released three professional models that would all enjoy significant success; the Seamster 300, the Railmaster and the iconic Speedmaster. To acknowledge this fact, in 2017 Omega paid tribute to the year and these models by releasing the 60th Anniversary editions of each model.

Speedmaster 60th Anniversary Limited Edition
The “Broad Arrow” was not only the first Speedmaster, it was also the first chronograph wristwatch in the world with its tachymeter scale on the bezel as opposed to printed on the dial. The 60th Anniversary Speedy boasts a faithful 38.6mm case as a homage to the original piece, but is powered by the modern 1861 calibre.

Railmaster 60th Anniversary Limited Edition
The 1957 Railmaster was initially designed for those working close to electrical fields, and the Anniversary piece acknowledges this characteristic. Although sitting as a 38mm case with the same design as the original, the Master Chronometer 8806 movement takes antimagnetic to a new level, with a resisting field of 15,000 gauss.

Seamaster 300 60th Anniversary Limited Edition
Based on the CK2913, this new Seamaster 300 features a black aluminium bezel and retains the famous Naïad sign on the crown, which back in ’57 was a mark of exceptional water resistance. Powering the 2017 model is the Master Chronometer 8806 in a 39mm case.

Limited Edition Special Trilogy Set
For the most enthusiastic of collectors, Omega also released an extremely limited Trilogy set that included all three of the 60th Anniversary pieces with just 557 sets being produced. These sets were complete with an engraved oak box, all three watches are engraved with identical Limited Edition numbers. The box also includes a leather watch roll with six spare straps (three leather/three NATO) as well as a wooden spring bar changing tool. Unlike the models sold separately, the three watches in each Trilogy box are distinguished by unique Limited Edition numbers printed on the dial. For the owner, this means they will have a set of three exclusive watches that is truly one-of-a-kind.

This UK-Supplied Trilogy set has remained unworn and boxed since it was purchased, with the watches only removed for the purposes of photography. Naturally, the set is complete with all the boxes, cards and accessories that Omega included in this highly limited set, and the watches are stored in their Omega travel packaging and are all stickered as can be seen in the images. The Trilogy set remains one of the most exclusive offerings for any discerning Omega collector and is set to only increase in desirability as the years pass.
